Telecom Acquisitions Surpass Expectations with Record Customer Growth

Telecom Acquisitions had an impressive trading quarter in the residential broadband space, with a record quarter, adding 22,000 new customers. This achievement highlights the continued growth of the company, which is making moves in all the right directions. Out of 22,000 new customers, 16,000 we’re gained through acquisition and strategic partnerships, the remaining 6,000 net adds came from organic growth.

TAL Group has multiple brands, Home Telecom (being the most popular, with an impressive 4.5 Trustpilot ranking across 10,000+ reviews), Fleur Telecom & Eclipse Broadband.

We now know that some of the acquisition growth came from purchasing the Cuckoo Openreach base. A shock for the industry, for sure. More on that later.

Speaking about the future of the group, CEO Nigel Barnett commented, “Our focus on the residential broadband supply sector will provide rapid growth for the group, with the support of the ISPs and large altnets we have partnered with.“ Some of these netowrks include CityFibre, MS3, FullFibre and Freedom Fibre, reflecting the group’s commitment to forming strong relationships within the industry and pushing for a full fibre nation!

Telecom Acquisitions intends to add another string to its bow by launching a new wholesale offering to UK resellers and ISPs (with a focus on FTTP), with a Layer 3 service, confirming its intentions to innovate and diversify within the UK telecommunications market. The channel has long cried out for a centralized wholesaler, so we will be monitoring this space closely over the next coming months.

More to add, Nigel said, “We have grown to circa 100,000 customers in the last 15 months, returning a £40m turnover. With further acquisitions planned, 2024 is set to be another very successful year.”

WE were fortunate enough to host Nigel in the Fibrenews Podcast studios last week and you can listen to his journey here.

We see this as just the beginning of what we expect will be a rolling maul of announcements in the coming weeks, and we will of course be keeping you updated with the developments as they happen!
