Luton Lights Up: 35,000 Homes Now Have Access to CityFibre’s Full Fibre Network

Over 35,000 premises in Luton can now tap into some of the fastest and most reliable internet services in the UK, thanks to CityFibre’s new full fibre network.

CityFibre, the UK’s largest independent full fibre platform, has nearly completed its rollout in the eastern part of Luton, designating homes as ‘Ready for Service.’ This means residents can now connect to top-tier digital connectivity as soon as services go live in their area.

This milestone is part of CityFibre’s broader project to future-proof Luton’s communications infrastructure, ensuring it can handle growing data demands in our increasingly digital world.

Neil Madle, CityFibre’s Partnership Manager for Luton, expressed his excitement: “We’re delighted to offer the people of Luton all the benefits of full fibre connectivity, with over 35,000 premises now Ready for Service. CityFibre’s investment in the town will allow more residents to unlock seamless homeworking, streaming, and gaming. We would also like to thank residents for their patience as we have rolled out this essential digital infrastructure, which is set to benefit the local community for years to come.”

CityFibre’s full fibre networks use 100% fibre optics to carry data at light speed from the home to the connection point. This technology delivers speeds of up to 2.5 Gbps for both uploads and downloads, offering near limitless bandwidth and rock-solid reliability.

In Luton, residents can already connect to this new network and enjoy full fibre-enabled broadband from a variety of providers. These include Vodafone on selected Vodafone Pro Broadband plans, TalkTalk, IDNet, Cuckoo (previously Giganet), and Zen, with more providers expected to join soon.

CityFibre’s rollout in Luton is not just about faster internet; it’s about setting the stage for a future where seamless connectivity is a given, supporting everything from homeworking to high-definition streaming and online gaming.
