ITS Joins Consortium to Bring Open RAN (5G) to Liverpool City Region’s High Capacity Venues

ITS Technology Group is excited to announce its partnership in the Liverpool City Region High Demand Density (Liverpool City Region HDD) consortium. This collaborative effort, led by the University of Liverpool, aims to introduce Open RAN technology to high-capacity venues throughout the Liverpool City Region.

The project has just received a substantial £9 million funding injection from the Department of Science Innovation and Technology (DSIT).

Mike Goodwin, Chief Technology Officer at ITS Technology Group, expressed enthusiasm for their role as a joint venture partner responsible for deploying the full fibre network under the banner of LCR Connect.
