Vorboss, the network bringing “heavy ethernet” to central London, has just opened its new City of London office at Exchange Square, Liverpool Street. This move is about meeting the rising demand and supporting the company’s growth.
The new 2,700 square metre office will house Vorboss’s 24/7 Network Operations Centre in a secure environment, ensuring top-notch operational excellence and support around the clock. What’s more, over 500 square metres of this new space is available for Vorboss customers and partners to work, meet, and network.
To mark the occasion, Howard Dawber, London Deputy Mayor for Business and Growth, hosted an event in collaboration with BusinessLDN. Representatives from more than 50 prominent London businesses attended, highlighting Vorboss’s significant role in the local business community.
Howard Dawber praised Vorboss, stating, “Vorboss is a prime example of the infrastructure investment crucial for London’s economic growth. The capital’s businesses need reliable, high-capacity fibre to thrive in today’s digital age, and we’re working together to make London better and fairer for everyone.”
In response to the rapid growth in demand for high-capacity, reliable internet, Vorboss has recently added 60 new London-based account management roles. This expanded team will focus on supporting customers in key industries such as media, broadcast, finance, healthcare, hospitality, hotels, and fitness.
Tim Creswick, CEO of Vorboss, commented, “This new space, close to our network and our customers, will support our continued growth and meet the high demand for reliable, high-capacity internet. By opening up our office to customers and partners, we’re creating a place where London businesses can meet, work, and collaborate.”
Always championing London’s businesses, Vorboss recently urged Ofcom to introduce an automatic compensation scheme for fixed business connectivity providers. This would foster competition around quality and improve network performance. Vorboss has even offered to be a founding member of the scheme, leading the way with a four-minute downtime automatic compensation guarantee.
Vorboss owns and operates its own network, offering speeds of 10Gbps and 100Gbps directly to business customers, with a 25Gbps plan available via channel partners. Over 250 technicians and engineers have trained in-house at the company’s academy, and notably, more than a third of Vorboss’s field technicians are women. The London-based team can reach any of its customers within 20 minutes.
