Quickline Receives National Awards for Rural Broadband Rollout

Quickline, a broadband provider committed to closing the digital divide between rural and urban areas, has been recognized with two prestigious national awards for its efforts in connecting remote communities in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.

The company’s dedication to delivering fast and reliable broadband to isolated communities via its full fibre and 5G fixed wireless connectivity was celebrated at the Adtran UK Fibre Awards 2023. Quickline received the “Best Rural Innovation Award” for its innovative use of full fibre products and services to address business challenges in remote areas. Additionally, the company was highly commended in the “Rural Fibre Service” category for its positive impact on the communities it serves.

The Connected Britain Awards, held as part of the Connected Britain show at Excel London, also honored Quickline with the “Wireless Innovation Award.” This award recognizes Quickline’s groundbreaking deployment of the UK’s first 5G standalone fixed wireless network, providing connectivity to even the most remote communities.

The recognition is a testament to Quickline’s commitment to bridging the digital divide and providing rapid and reliable internet access to rural communities. The company’s CEO, Sean Royce, and Chief Technology Officer, Ian Smith, were actively engaged in discussing the challenges of digital inequality and connectivity for hard-to-reach communities during the flagship event.

Sean Royce expressed pride in the awards, stating, “These awards are further endorsements of the transformational difference we’re making to rural communities across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, who would otherwise be denied the digital connectivity that is absolutely essential for so many aspects of daily life.” Quickline’s innovative approach and dedication to rural connectivity have earned it a well-deserved place in the spotlight of the industry.
