Quickline Brings High-Speed Connectivity to North Lincolnshire Village with First ‘Q Hub’

Hibaldstow, North Lincolnshire – Quickline has successfully connected a North Lincolnshire village to its inaugural community ‘Q Hub,’ providing residents with access to fast and reliable internet.

This initiative encompasses the provision of a laptop, printer, microphone, VR headset, and PlayStation 5 to the community, contributing to reduced operating costs through remote heating.

The Quickline-branded hall represents the first of the company’s new ‘Q Hubs,’ which will be introduced to other communities served by Quickline in the coming months.

Quickline’s full-fiber broadband service is now operational in Hibaldstow, near Brigg in North Lincolnshire, where the company has also sponsored the village hall as part of its commitment to community support. Quickline worked closely with village representatives to ensure the provision of essential resources for residents, community groups, and local businesses.

The official launch of the ‘Q Hub’ is scheduled for Saturday, May 13th, from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, featuring a family event to commemorate the occasion. A gaming competition utilizing the new equipment will be hosted, with prizes available, and Quickline staff will be present to distribute goody bags and address residents’ queries. The event will also offer refreshments and snacks, along with a pick ‘n’ mix stall.

Colin Mawdsley, Secretary of the Village Hall Committee, expressed the committee’s vision to modernize the village hall by hosting events catering to all age groups and fostering a more vibrant social calendar for the community. Fast and reliable internet connectivity, made possible through Quickline’s partnership, is pivotal to this transformation.

Quickline is committed to reaching areas that other internet service providers may neglect. With over 300,000 premises covered by its existing next-generation fixed wireless broadband network, Quickline is swiftly integrating full fiber to create the UK’s sole gigabit-capable network using hybrid technology.

Julian Chalk, Head of Enablement and Engagement at Quickline, underscored the company’s dedication to supporting the communities it serves and making a tangible difference in the lives of residents and businesses.

Quickline recently reaffirmed a two-year price freeze, ensuring price stability at a time when many major providers are significantly increasing their prices. Residents and businesses can check fiber availability in their area using Quickline’s postcode checker on the website and register their interest to stay informed about Quickline’s presence in their community.
