Quickline Communications is expanding its community engagement and sales teams to support the ongoing rural broadband rollout, with plans to hire a total of 21 individuals across various regions.
The recruitment drive comes as Quickline continues to extend its full fibre network, with specific focus on North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, and Lincolnshire. The company is responding to the growing demand for its broadband services in these areas.
The roles being recruited for include Community Executives and Community Executive Team Leaders. These positions will involve building strong relationships within the communities Quickline serves, raising awareness of the company’s broadband offerings, and demonstrating how residents and businesses can benefit from faster and more reliable internet connections.
Quickline’s decision to expand its community teams is in line with its commitment to reaching underserved rural areas, ensuring that no community is left behind in the digital age.
Wendy Hiley, HR and Talent Acquisition Business Partner at Quickline, highlighted the importance of in-person interactions within these communities. She said, “We know the people in the communities we’re serving really like to talk to us face-to-face, in person, rather than over the telephone. That’s why we’re investing in our teams on the ground, who are out there in these communities, speaking directly to the people who live and work in them.”
The new team members will play an essential role as Quickline brand ambassadors, attending community events and engaging with local residents. Quickline emphasizes that previous sales experience is not necessary, as the company will provide full training. The focus is on individuals who are personable, confident, and passionate about community engagement.
Michelle Simpson, Head of Sales at Quickline, explained, “We’re looking for warm, personable, and confident people who have a passion for meeting people and finding out about them. Every day will be different, with new people to meet and different places to go. We don’t need people with experience in sales. We’ll provide full training as required, but what’s important to us is that we have the right personalities to join our team and work with the communities we’re serving.”
