Openreach Unveils Latest Full Fibre Build Plans, Adding 10 New Locations

United Kingdom – Openreach, the UK’s leading wholesale broadband network provider, has released its updated plans outlining the expansion of ultra-fast and highly reliable Full Fibre broadband services across the country. These plans are part of the company’s routine updates regarding its network expansion efforts.

In this latest announcement, Openreach has revealed its intention to bring gigabit-capable technology to an additional 124,000 homes and businesses across ten new locations. These areas span the UK, including places like Cheriton in Kent, Mexborough in South Yorkshire, Grangemouth in Scotland, and Morriston in Wales.

This development underscores Openreach’s commitment to extending its Full Fibre network to more communities, ultimately contributing to the UK government’s ambitious target of providing ‘gigabit capable broadband’ to 85 percent of the UK by 2025.

Openreach has already made significant progress, with over ten million premises in the UK now having access to its services. Remarkably, this includes more than three million premises in some of the most challenging-to-reach regions of the country.
