ITS Technology Group Appoints Simon Wort as Chief Revenue Officer to Drive Growth

ITS Technology Group (ITS), a prominent wholesale full fibre provider, has welcomed Simon Wort as its Chief Revenue Officer, a newly established role charged with overseeing crucial go-to-market functions including marketing, sales, and business development.

Simon Wort brings substantial experience to this role, having previously served as Chief Commercial Officer at Arrow Business Communications, where he successfully steered the company through significant revenue expansion, investments, and a series of acquisitions.

ITS Technology Group has consistently achieved remarkable revenue growth, doubling its revenues year after year. In 2022, the company strategically expanded by acquiring key assets to enhance its dark fibre capabilities. Over the past year, ITS has also doubled the presence of its full fibre network, known as Faster Britain, in various regions, with a specific focus on the North, North West, Midlands, and London. This impressive growth has led to an increase in the workforce, with strategic hires in areas such as delivery, customer service, product development, and sales.

Simon Wort’s appointment is part of an organizational change aimed at intensifying focus on revenue generation. He will lead a team of direct reports, including heads of marketing, channel, infrastructure, and the recently appointed head of public sector, Andrew Bell.

Daren Baythorpe, CEO at ITS, expressed his enthusiasm for Wort’s addition to the team, highlighting Wort’s people-centric approach and wealth of experience. Baythorpe anticipates Wort’s contribution in enhancing the go-to-market strategy and roadmap, setting the stage for the company’s next phase of growth.

Simon Wort himself is excited to join ITS, emphasizing the company’s commitment to its people, partners, innovation, and market excellence. He views this opportunity as pivotal, particularly as ITS continues its rapid expansion. Wort looks forward to collaborating with the team to further strengthen the Faster Britain brand, advance the market-leading partner portal, and enhance the overall customer experience.
