Quickline Communications recently celebrated a significant milestone in their 2023 full fibre broadband rollout plan by bringing high-speed internet access to three more North Lincolnshire villages: East Halton, North Killingholme, and South Killingholme, near Immingham.
To mark this achievement, Quickline organized a series of community events spanning two weeks. The festivities began with an exciting balloon drop across all three villages, where Quickline-branded balloons, each containing a winning ticket for three months of free broadband, were scattered throughout the areas.
In North Killingholme, residents were treated to a pizza party at the Ashbourne Hotel, fostering a sense of community and celebration. Meanwhile, in East Halton and South Killingholme, A Salt ‘n’ Battery mobile fish and chip van served delicious chippy teas, with residents claiming vouchers via Quickline’s social media channels. The celebrations continued with a sponsored quiz night in East Halton, featuring prizes for every participant.
Stephen Gorwood expressed his excitement about the full fibre broadband rollout in East Halton, emphasizing its importance for businesses like his that rely heavily on the internet for communications, entertainment, and more. He recounted how insufficient broadband had led to early guest checkouts in the past, underscoring the critical role of high-speed internet in today’s world.
