Openreach is rallying the residents and businesses of Eastrington to support an initiative aimed at delivering ultrafast, ultra-reliable full fibre broadband to the local community.
This call to action comes with a stark warning: without applying for free Government broadband vouchers, the community could miss out on a transformative full fibre upgrade capable of providing faster speeds and enhanced reliability.
Eastrington stands to join the ranks of more than 38,000 homes and businesses in the East Riding already benefiting from access to full fibre broadband, should a sufficient number of residents participate in this initiative.
Crucially, funding through the Government’s Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme, coupled with the deployment of cutting-edge broadband signal boosting technology, holds the potential to extend the full fibre network’s reach to include thousands of remote rural communities like Eastrington.
Openreach’s recognition of Eastrington as a candidate for Full Fibre coverage underscores the village’s eligibility for the initiative. Local residents are strongly encouraged to apply for and collectively utilize free Government Gigabit Vouchers to contribute to the network’s construction.
To determine eligibility and pledge vouchers, residents can conveniently visit the Connect My Community website. These vouchers come at no cost to residents and facilitate Openreach’s collaboration with the community to create a tailored, co-funded network. Importantly, this approach extends the reach of the ultrafast, ultra-reliable network to premises in outlying rural areas that would otherwise remain outside the scope of private investment.
