Quickline has partnered with Olympic triathletes Alistair and Jonny Brownlee to champion its rural broadband services in underserved areas.
Alistair famously aided Jonny during the 2016 World Triathlon Series in Mexico, demonstrating Quickline’s commitment to not leaving anyone behind in the quest for fast and reliable broadband.
As elite athletes, the Brownlee brothers, who were the first siblings since 1908 to share an Olympic podium in 2012, embody Quickline’s belief that rural communities should have access to top-quality services.
Quickline, on a mission to address internet inequality in rural Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, has already reached over 300,000 premises with its next-generation fixed wireless broadband and is quickly integrating it with full fiber to create the UK’s only gigabit-capable hybrid network. This partnership with the Brownlee Brothers includes Quickline’s inaugural TV commercial, set to reach millions of viewers next month.
Kat Jeffery, Quickline’s Head of Marketing, stated, “Our new partnership with the Brownlee Brothers is a perfect fit. Alistair and Jonny share our values and belief that no-one should be left behind or settle for second best.”
The Brownlee Foundation, run by the brothers, strives to inspire children from all backgrounds to enjoy sports and lead active lives, aligning with Quickline’s commitment to supporting the communities it serves.
Alistair expressed their support for Quickline, stating, “We passionately believe that everyone deserves the same opportunities in life, whether that’s in sport, education, or digital connectivity.”
Jonny added, “We’ve always strived to be the best we can as athletes, and Quickline is striving to provide the best internet service they can to these communities, which is why we’re proud to be playing our part.”
Quickline will accompany the TV advert with a social media campaign featuring the Brownlee Brothers to highlight the benefits of their broadband services.
Quickline’s CEO Sean Royce praised the partnership, saying, “The Brownlee brothers are true British sporting heroes and outstanding role models. Their dedication and passion for their sport is matched by their character and values, making them the perfect choice as ambassadors for Quickline.”
