Quickline, the rural broadband provider, recently made an exciting visit to Burton-upon-Stather, a village near Scunthorpe in North Lincolnshire. The Quickline team decided to add a touch of fun and surprise to the village by placing prize-winning balloons in strategic locations. These balloons not only carried Quickline’s logo but also offered a chance for lucky winners to enjoy three months of free broadband.
The initiative was part of Quickline’s efforts to create awareness about the arrival of their full fibre broadband services in the village and to encourage new customers to sign up. Clues about the balloon locations were shared throughout the day on Quickline’s social media channels, generating excitement within the community.
James Fairbank, Social Media Manager at Quickline, expressed their desire to engage with the community and have a bit of fun. He said, “The balloons looked great dotted about the village, and we had our first winner contact us within hours. We are always looking for new and different ways to spark the interest of people living in the communities we serve, and the balloons were something we thought we would try in Burton-upon-Stather.”
Julian Chalk, Quickline’s Head of Network Engagement and Enablement, emphasized the importance of reaching rural communities with their full fibre broadband services. He stated, “It’s really important to us that we keep rolling out our game-changing full fibre broadband to these rural communities and we want to ensure the people living there know we’re live and available to them. It was great to see the balloons brightening up the village, and we plan to do more activities like this in other communities that we reach.”
This creative and engaging initiative not only brought a sense of excitement to Burton-upon-Stather but also showcased Quickline’s commitment to providing high-quality broadband services to rural areas.
