Quickline Commits to Youth Training with The 5% Club Membership

Quickline is excited to announce its membership in The 5% Club, reinforcing our commitment to helping young people enter the workforce.

This move underscores our dedication to developing the next generation of skilled professionals through structured training and development programs.

The 5% Club encourages businesses to dedicate at least 5% of their workforce to formal apprenticeship or graduate development schemes. The initiative aims to promote shared prosperity across the UK by expanding opportunities for ‘earn and learn’ skills training.

By joining The 5% Club, Quickline aligns with a distinguished group of organizations dedicated to providing quality training opportunities. This initiative benefits individuals by easing the transition from education to employment and strengthens businesses by cultivating a highly skilled and motivated workforce.

Over the next five years, Quickline is committed to achieving the 5% target outlined in the charter, starting with the induction of our first group of apprentices in 2024. We also plan to integrate graduates and participants in year-long paid industry placements.

Wendy Hiley, HR and Talent Acquisition Business Partner at Quickline, stated: “We recognize the importance of investing in future talent within our industry and beyond. As Quickline continues to grow, we have ambitious plans that include the development of our team. By offering structured apprenticeship and graduate programs, we aim to create a culture of continuous learning and growth within our organization, while also making a positive impact on the communities we serve.”

Julie Holmes, Social Values Manager at Quickline, added: “Joining The 5% Club allows us to demonstrate our commitment to talent development and to driving positive change in workforce development strategies. Our participation highlights the proactive steps we’re taking in corporate social responsibility and our dedication to sustainable workforce development practices.”

Gill Cronin, Director of Operations at The 5% Club, welcomed Quickline’s involvement: “We’re thrilled to have Quickline join as a member. The 5% Club offers a valuable network of HR and L&D professionals who share and learn from each other. All our members are united in the goal of creating a skilled workforce through ‘earn and learn’ development programs, helping individuals build meaningful careers.”
