Grain Connect has just set a new record, installing full fibre broadband in just 29 minutes! The installation took place at a new-build home in Telford, showcasing the efficiency and speed of Grain’s team.
Grain’s previous record was 36 minutes (still extremely impressive), and this achievement highlights the exact benefits alternative networks can bring to the UK. We’ve always promoted consumers and businesses to choose an alternative network over the big “two,” and this type of speedy installation service is exactly why.
Alternative networks often operate with internal engineers who care far more than a large national player when it comes to connecting and gaining new customers!
In this case, the new record was set when install engineer Samantha spoke with Oldham resident Rebecca about Grain’s Full Fibre broadband. Sold on the service, sales team leader Dale quickly signed her up, and Queenie, one of the talented provisioning advisors, jumped into action and booked the install. After Samantha completed the physical installation, Tom in technical support concluded the process by overseeing the configuration of the Grain router, ensuring a successful connection and confirming a connected device. By 17:09, just 29 minutes after the initial signup at 16:40, the customer was browsing the web with their brand-new Full Fibre service.
Now that’s a job well done.
Richard Cameron, CEO of Grain, said: “Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. For too long, customers have endured long delays to have broadband installed in their homes. At Grain, we have chosen to build our own independent infrastructure rather than renting the Openreach network. This enables us to deliver for our customers in a way no other provider can match. To do this in just 29 minutes is a testament to our efficient connection process and dedicated team. While other providers deal in days or weeks, at Grain, we deal in minutes. We strive to deliver exceptional service, offering the lowest prices and the fastest installations, and I am extremely proud of the team for delivering this.”
