AllPoints Fibre Acquires Glasgow Based Brillband

AllPoints Fibre Networks (APFN) has acquired Brillband, a Glasgow-based full-fibre provider known for its customer-first, digital-first approach. Operating as an independent brand under the APFN Group, Brillband will expand nationally via APFN’s open-access wholesale platform. CEO Duncan Di Biase remains at the helm, with Jarlath Finnegan, APFN and Cuckoo Fibre’s Group CEO, stepping in as Chairman. Since its founding in 2022, Brillband has raised over £800,000 in investment and built a loyal customer base, delivering up to 900Mb/s through CityFibre’s network.

Brillband hit the market in 2020, operating on the City Fibre network and focusing in Glasgow. To separate themselves from the competition, they bought disruptive marketing techniques and a unique, in-house mobile application to drive customer acquisition. After AllPoints acquired Cuckoo in 2022, Brillband will join AllPoints as the second “disruptor brand.”

Jarlath Finnegan, CEO of AllPoints said:

“Today is an exciting step in APFN’s journey. As the full fibre market evolves, we’re always looking out for compelling opportunities to invest in or acquire other firms. In a short time, Brillband has built a loyal customer base and a strong brand via savvy technical investment and a commitment to automation. I’m looking forward to working with Duncan and the team to take the business to the next level.”

Duncan Di Biase said:

“This is a landmark moment for Brillband. We have the energy and the passion to transform how people feel about their broadband, and now we have the backing of a major player in the full fibre industry. We can’t wait to start working with Jarlath as we continue on our journey.”
