We're Broadband Nerds!

We really care about educating customers so they can make an informed choice. It’s our mission to educate the nation on the value of local full fibre broadband providers. We want to take the mystery out of switching broadband providers and put the power in our customers hands.

Other comparison websites usually only show offers from big household names

These brands often don’t have the right fibre networks in place for your specific area. We’re in the loop with many “alternative providers” who can offer a cheaper deal and a faster product with better service.

Why should I switch with Fibrenews?

Other comparison websites usually only show offers from big household names,  but these brands often don’t have the right fibre networks in place for your specific area. We’re in the loop with many “alternative providers” who can offer a cheaper deal and a faster product with better service.

Alternative Network Providers

We're the only comparison site to integrate the alternative network providers who are pushing for a faster Britain, with fewer costs and a better service. And we make it simple. You can sign up on our platform in on go. No jumping to a new site or filling in more boxes than necessary.

OFCOM Regulated

We abide by all OFCOM regulations, show your package options simply, provide a contract summary before you sign, and clearly show any charges or T&Cs so you're never stuck with hidden costs. And, most importantly, we don't work with bad broadband providers, only those we trust (Trustpilot 4 and above).

We Search for You

Broadband isn’t one-size-fits-all. Local providers are laying new network near you. We’re here to do all the searching, thinking and heavy lifting for you so you can sit back and enjoy the perfect connection.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much could you save?

Over the length of your contract, you could save hundreds. Take Debby Rae as an example (my Mum). Debby moved into a sleepy village in Somerset. After moving, she went to go through the usual process,  contacting her existing provider of 20+ years, Sky Broadband. Sky could only provide a “Fibre to the cabinet broadband/part fibre” (learn more about the different broadband types here) with speeds of up to 80mbps on an 18-month contract for £38.00 per month. But luckily her son works in broadband, so he knew that Gigaclear laid fibre in that area. So Fibrenews got her a better deal. Debby signed up for 400mbps broadband at £20.00 per month, plus a free Wi-Fi booster, on an 18-month contract with free installation and no router fee. She saved £324.00 over the contract length, and now has 5x faster full fibre broadband. Instead of 80mbps, she got 400Mbps, for far less money. But this is the problem: no one knows who the local Full Fibre provider is down their road. We're here to change that.

Why should you trust Fibrenews?

You’re not buying from us. We’re educating you and helping you to find the best local Full Fibre provider. Our superstar team will be there every step of the way to help you trust in your decision and explain anything you don't understand. Plus, every single provider we work with has 4 or above on Trustpilot.

How does Fibrenews make money?

We want to be transparent. We make our money from charging ISPs for introducing you as a customer (this is how all switching sites work). The difference? We don't charge extortionate fees for ISPs to list on our site so that the cheaper providers are available to you. So for us, the more local providers we have, the better, and you get access to all of them (not just the big 5). Our competitors often only display products from one or two networks (Openreach & Virgin).

How can you trust a network provider you've never heard of before?

If I’ve never heard of the network before how do I know I can trust it?

FirstFibrenews does not allow any broadband companies onto the platform if they have less than a 4 Start rating on trustpilot. Next, we vet every ISP before gaining access to the platform. Our vetting is not based juust on revenues. We wouldn't turn away an infant ISP. We look to understand what their support operations look like, where the build plans are, what hardware they use and what communication tools are they invested in to support their customer base! Remember, Fibrenews was built from people "in-industry". We know what makes a good broadband provider.
