CityFibre, the UK’s largest independent full fibre platform, has wrapped up its full fibre installation project across multiple neighborhoods in Wolverhampton. With homes and businesses now marked ‘Ready For Service,’ over 90,000 residents can opt for top-tier digital connectivity options available in the area.
This achievement marks a significant step forward in CityFibre’s mission to future-proof Wolverhampton’s communication infrastructure, catering to the increasing demand for online activities and data consumption.
Bashir Ahmed, CityFibre’s Partnership Manager for Wolverhampton, expressed excitement about reaching this milestone, emphasizing the benefits of full fibre connectivity for the community. He extended gratitude to residents for their patience during the rollout process and anticipated widespread adoption of seamless digital experiences like remote work, streaming, and gaming.
Full fibre networks leverage 100% fibre optics, ensuring lightning-fast data transmission from homes to connection points. This translates to blazing speeds of up to 2.5 Gbps for both uploads and downloads, along with consistent and reliable connectivity.
Residents in Wolverhampton now have the opportunity to connect to the new network and enjoy full fibre-enabled broadband services from various providers, including Vodafone, TalkTalk, IDNet, Giganet, and Zen, with more expected to join soon.
