Stockton on the Forest residents are cheering as full fibre broadband connections are finally rolling out across their Yorkshire village. With 377 properties now hooked up, once bogged down by sluggish internet, locals can now revel in ultrafast speeds of up to 1000Mbps.
This positive change is all thanks to a recent injection of £350,000 by internet service provider Fusion Fibre Group, previously known as FACTCO. Their investment ensures that residents can benefit from a superfast full fibre connection and keep up to date with the digital migration to a faster Britain.
Since launching their network in late February, Fusion Fibre Group has been on a mission to wire up homes and businesses throughout the area. Families like the Gregsons, who previously wrestled with measly speeds of 40 Mbps while working remotely, are now experiencing a digital revolution.
Mr. Gregson, delighted with the upgrade, shared, “It’s running like a dream. We’ve got TVs in every room, all streaming without a hitch. My kids are thrilled—they can now watch their favourite shows on Disney+ without any buffering.”
Gary Spooner, Fusion Fibre Group’s Head of National Sales, is eager for more Stockton on the Forest residents to enjoy the perks of full-fibre connectivity. He enthused, “This new network rollout is a significant milestone in our commitment to providing top-notch connectivity to rural communities. None of this would have been possible without the incredible support from the Digital York Team.”
Roy Grant, Head of ICT at City of York Council, stressed the importance of internet access, saying, “Internet connectivity is a vital necessity for residents and businesses alike in York and its surroundings. We’re thrilled to celebrate the arrival of full-fibre optic broadband to Stockton-on-the-Forest, marking another stride towards providing top-tier connectivity and reaping the benefits of living near the UK’s first Gigabit City.”
Fusion Fibre Group, previously known as FACTCO are committed to narrowing the digital gap by introducing state-of-the-art, gigabit-ready broadband to villages and towns across the UK. We’re confident that our inbox will be inundated with similar announcements of full fibre rollout throughout 2024 from Fusion and we look forward to reporting on it!
