In a strategic move to enhance connectivity in East Sussex, Lightning Fibre, the Eastbourne-based Full Fibre broadband network operator, has inked a significant agreement with Southern Housing. The collaboration aims to introduce a new Full Fibre broadband network, providing residents in East Sussex, Wealden, and Rother with faster, more affordable, and stable internet connections.
Universal Wayleave Agreement Signed:
Lightning Fibre’s CEO, Stefan Stanislawksi, and Southern Housing’s CEO, Paul Hackett, recently commemorated the signing of a universal wayleave agreement. This milestone sets the stage for the installation of an advanced Full Fibre broadband network across Southern Housing properties, benefiting a wide spectrum of residents.
Expanded Collaborations:
Beyond the partnership with Southern Housing, Lightning Fibre has also entered into wayleave agreements with other housing entities. These include Eastbourne Homes, the owner of numerous properties in Eastbourne; a collaboration with Orbit Homes in conjunction with Complete Fibre Group (CTG); and ongoing efforts with Trinity Homes to deliver lightning-fast Full Fibre connectivity to new developments, including social housing projects.
Digital Inclusion and Social Tariff Eligibility:
Lightning Fibre is dedicated to fostering digital inclusion and ensuring affordability. The company has a direct API feed to the Department of Work and Pensions, facilitating a quick and discreet confirmation of customers’ eligibility for the social tariff. Notably, Lightning Fibre refrains from conducting credit checks for residential customers, aligning with its commitment to inclusivity.
Customer Charter and Recognition:
The firm’s robust Customer Charter underlines its commitment to treating every customer fairly and with respect. CEO Stefan Stanislawski emphasizes the importance of an affordable internet connection in the context of ‘Digital Britain’ and highlights Lightning Fibre’s role in ensuring no one is left behind.
ISPA Award-Winning Service:
Acknowledging Lightning Fibre’s commitment to customer focus, community offering, and transparency, the Internet Service Providers’ Association (ISPA) awarded the company the prestigious title of Best Consumer ISP (fewer than 50,000 customers) in November 2023. Judges emphasized Lightning Fibre’s victory in the most competitive category, solidifying its position as a leading player in the broadband industry.
This collaboration with Southern Housing underscores Lightning Fibre’s dedication to expanding Full Fibre access, creating a more digitally inclusive environment, and contributing to the advancement of connectivity in the region.
