Openreach, a leading broadband provider, is calling upon Mareham-le-Fen residents in Lincolnshire to seize a remarkable opportunity for ultrafast, ultra-reliable full fibre broadband. Currently, more than 70,000 homes and businesses across Lincolnshire already enjoy the benefits of full fibre broadband. However, Openreach believes that Mareham-le-Fen, located six miles south of Horncastle, has the potential to join this league and revolutionize its connectivity landscape.
Through the UK Government’s Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme and the deployment of advanced broadband signal boosting technology, Openreach aims to extend the reach of its full fibre network to remote rural communities. This initiative opens doors for areas like Mareham-le-Fen to embrace ultrafast technology.
The process involves residents checking their eligibility and pledging their vouchers on the Connect My Community website. Importantly, these vouchers come at no cost to residents and enable Openreach to collaborate with the local community in building a customised, co-funded network. This approach ensures that even premises in outlying rural areas, which may not be covered by private investment, can benefit from the ultrafast, ultra-reliable network.
