Hull, UK – Quickline, the innovative broadband provider, has unveiled a new training centre, stores, and test laboratory, marking another step in their expansion journey. The facility, located in Hull, provides a modern space for training engineers and fostering the skills of teams across the company, in addition to serving as a hub for storing building and installation materials.
Quickline’s engineers will use this centre as their primary base for equipment collection for installations, with the facility also being utilized by their Internal Build Team. The test laboratory within the centre will house the development of new products and services using Quickline’s 5G technology. As a pioneer in delivering a pure, standalone 5G fixed wireless network in the UK, Quickline reaffirms its position as an industry leader in technology and innovation.
This facility’s launch follows the relocation of Quickline’s main headquarters to larger premises at Albion Mills, Willerby, less than a year ago. The new establishment replaces the original headquarters in Hessle, which had been utilized for equipment storage post-relocation.
Quickline’s expansion has been marked by impressive growth, including the recruitment of 150 staff members in the past year, bringing the total employee count to 250. The official opening of the new building was conducted by Hull West and Hessle MP Emma Hardy, whose constituency includes the facility.
Emma Hardy expressed her delight in opening the new facility and endorsed Quickline’s mission to ensure that no community is left behind in terms of access to fast, reliable broadband, especially in rural areas. The new centre is strategically located off the A63, making it easily accessible for Quickline staff.
The facility underwent complete refurbishment in partnership with local property developer Swanbridge Works, engaging tradespeople from Hull and East Yorkshire. Quickline’s mission is to address internet inequality in rural communities across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. They have already connected over 300,000 premises with their next-generation fixed wireless broadband and are actively integrating it with a full-fiber network to create the UK’s only gigabit-capable network using hybrid technology.
CEO Sean Royce underlined the significance of the new facility in terms of investing in the local economy and enhancing the training and innovation capabilities of Quickline. He emphasized Quickline’s commitment to ensuring rural communities in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire receive the broadband services they deserve.
