Leamington Spa, a town with a rich historical heritage, is poised for a technological transformation as it joins over 2,800 communities across the UK gaining access to Openreach’s Full Fibre broadband network.
This once-in-a-generation Full Fibre broadband upgrade will enable thousands of local residents to connect numerous devices at gigabit-capable speeds while ensuring that broadband capacity remains robust for decades to come.
Leamington Spa is among the 19 new locations announced today for a significant ultrafast broadband upgrade. Approximately 27,000 homes and businesses in the town are set to benefit from this development. Additionally, in the West Midlands region, 14,000 properties in Bilston and 8,000 in Fernhill Heath will also enjoy the advantages of Full Fibre broadband.

With more than 3,200 Openreach employees living and working in the West Midlands, this team plays a pivotal role in maintaining and expanding the UK’s largest phone and broadband network.
Openreach recently achieved a significant milestone by connecting over 11.5 million premises throughout the UK, including approximately 3.7 million in the most challenging and underserved regions of the country.
